The omponents are mainly phenolic acid such as chlorogenic acid,luteolin,isochlorogenic acid,inositol and so on.
Honeysuckle is widespread in the Northern Hemisphere. A climber growing to 12 ft (4 m) that is deciduous (honeysuckle, L. caprifolium) or semi evergreen (jin yin hua, L. japonica). Has paired oval leaves, yellow-orange (honeysuckle) or yellow-white (jin yin hua) tubular flowers.
3 ~ 4 years after transplanting flowering, flowering time concentrated, should be timely and batch picking, generally in mid-May, late pick the first flower, in mid-June, late pick the second flower.When the upper part of the bud is swollen, from green to white, not yet open when harvesting the best.Flos lonicerae should immediately dry or dry, prevent retting mildew metamorphic.When air is dry, unfavorable and arbitrary turn over, in case the flower is black.Drying temperature should be controlled, initial drying 30 ~ 35℃, 2h to 40℃, drying 5 ~ 10h, and then control the room temperature to 45 ~ 50℃ drying 10h, heating to 55 ~ 60℃, so that the flowers quickly dry.When baking, it is not suitable to turn over or stop drying.Drying is of higher yield and better quality than air-drying.
