Introduction of health food raw material (extract) record policy

● 2015 is a year of change for China's plant extract industry. The health food record system adopted by the new food safety Law is also considered as one of the signs of good industry development.In the same year, the Health Food Registration and Record Management Measures was promulgated, which clearly stipulated that CFDA prohibited entrusted processing of TCM extracts, and the record of extracts became a new trend of industry development.

● In October 2016, the Implementation Regulations of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China (Revised Draft submitted for review) pointed out that "producers engaged in the production and processing of premix and extract of health food and foreign sales are included in the production license management of health food".It means that the extract is included in the licensing management of health food production.

● At the end of 2016, CFDA issued the Detailed rules for the Review of Health Food Production License, which further standardized the specific rules for the incorporation of plant extracts into health food production.
